3 weeks ago The Country Music Television (CMT) award nominees have been announced and this years Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan is at the head of the pack with four CMT nominations. Luke is not alone though, he's got good company fellow tour mate and singer/songwriter Eric Church and his best friends wife Miranda Lambert lead with four CMT video award nominations each.
3 weeks ago My daughter Angie just started gymnastics classes, and with that comes the excitement of a 10 year-old little girl, wanting to show me every jump, twirl and leap. She has been online to check out other gymnasts. That's when Angie showed me this video. I couldn't believe my eyes that I watched it several times. Although this video is from the 2008 Junior European Championship games in Turin, I think it's worth watching.
3 weeks ago Friday Adam Fears dropped by the station to deliver his new self titled C.D. and I asked him how he felt after he found out about the passing of the late George Jones. The reason I asked is because Adam was co-writer for the Billboard Charted song "The Gospel According To Jones." The song was recorded by Eric Lee Beddingfield and the video featured George Jones. In 2011 the music video was one of Billboards Top Video Picks of the year. Tears began to well up in Adams eyes, I could clearly see the passing of George still hurt so he turned to talking about his music instead.
3 weeks ago Miss Suzie is a sweet little lady that only weighs 46 pounds. She's a black, white and tan Beagle, Basset mix. She has an extremely sweet personality and has already been taught to sit, stay and shake. Christy an Animal Control Officer said "Suzie was an owner turn in, simply because the owner could no longer afford to feed herself let along her dog too. So after eight years Susie's owner brought her here to the Animal Control Shelter. She needs to go to a good home."
3 weeks ago Ever since I saw and heard these two sisters Lennon and Maisy Stella sing the song "Ho Hey" I can't get them out of my head. I swear, I woke up Sunday morning and I know they were near by, because I could clearly hear them singing. Not only is the song stuck in my head, I can't get enough of their awesome harmonies. Their vocals haunt me and the song plays over and over in my head. Although they are only six and 13 years old, both are accomplished musicians and each one can play a number of instruments. Lennon and Maisy Stella are real-life sisters who play Rayna James' daughters on ABC's TV show "Nashville." Then I get to work Monday and learned that Lennon and Maisy's record company is releasing "Ho Hey" as a single. Please give it a listen, then tell me what you think.

(due to arrive in stores July 2, 2013.) Brad Paisley likes this group so much, that he put them on his "Beat This Summer Tour." The Henningsens are Brian Henningsen on bass guitar, vocals and the father of 10 including eldest son Aaron who covers guitar and vocals while daughter Clara takes lead vocals and plays guitar too.
4 weeks ago This year marks the 31st annual Cinco de Mayo celebration in Abilene at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church. Abilene's biggest Cinco de Mayo is the love and labor of the St. Vincent's parishioners. Pascual Mirelez owner of Mirelez Productions says "this is a family friendly event that features a softball tournament, dozens of food booths, bounce houses, children's games, bingo, adult games and lots of live music. The event is mostly free with the exception of food and games."
