The All Kind Animal Initiative is having an awesome Valentine's Day sale. It's been said time and time again that "there is no love like the love one gets from their pets." This year the pet selection is great because the All Kind Animal Initiative is once again full with beautiful fur babies.

I dropped by All Kind at 925 South 25th to see for myself all the beautiful pets they had up for adoption. Andrea Robison, director and founder of All Kind, said "If we in West Texas are ever going to gain control of the pet population, we all need to spay and neuter our cats and dogs."

While visiting the shelter I saw for myself that the kennels were at capacity and thought, "I wished I could take all the cats and dogs home with me." Well, I did take one home. I adopted a 2-year-old dog that looked me in the eyes and said "Please take me  with you."

But here's the best part, All Kind is having a Valentine's Day sale this year. Are you ready for this? A Valentine's Day 50% Off Sale! Adopt a cat, dog, kitten or puppy, and you'll get your next fur baby for half price.

Wow! Half-price pets from February 9-14, 2024. Adopting a pet from All Kind includes everything a new pet needs like microchipping, flea and tick dipping, rabies and all other necessary vaccinations, de-worming, and a low-cost spay or neuter rebate.

The shelter is located at 925 South 25th Street in Abilene and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 AM until 2 PM and 3 PM - 6 PM. The shelter closes between 2 - 3 PM daily to clean kennels and feed the animals. The shelter is also open on Sundays from 1 - 5 PM.
