Friday Saturday and Sunday was awesome, especially for the homeless animals from Abilene and 19 surrounding counties. Just as one pet was being adopted,  someone else would step up to the table and say "I want that little guy there, how much is he, and who do I pay?" Aaron Vannoy with the City's Animal Shelter says "the final numbers are still being counted, but one thing is for certain, we beat last years numbers." Rescue the Animals worker Mindy said "I know how many forms be brought and we ran out."

320 pets were adopted, breaking last years record of 230 pets adopted. Over 500 were micro-chipped an hundreds upon hundreds were vaccinated. Rescue the Animals Founder and local SPCA director Paul Washburn says "all of last years records were shattered. Lots of beautiful pets found homes this weekend, thanks to KEAN and the North Shore Animal League."  That said, I would love to share some of my pictures from this weekends "Emergency Pet Adoption." Lot's of beautiful, innocent little guys finally found someone to love them back. Here they are enjoy!
