Saturday proved to be a very successful day for the big 'Donation Drive' in Abilene. Several local business and a couple dozen volunteers began accepting donations of all kinds to benefit the people of Moore Oklahoma. Kandon Culberson Operations Supervisor for Con-Way Freight said "I really wasn't expecting the pour out of donations we took in, but at the end of the day West Texans really showed their heart."

Organizers said that they were only expecting maybe one and a half tractor trailer loads. Culberson said "At the end of the day we ended up with over 49,000 pounds and three very full tractor trailer loads that were delivered the very next day, Sunday. We just want to say thank you to everyone that donated or volunteered."
