Aim High, Abilene: West Texas Rehab Clay Shoot in April
The West Texas Rehab Center's 22nd Annual Top Gun Sporting Clays Classic is a fun event that brings both skilled and amateur clay shooters to compete with each other. The event attracts over 500 shooters every year to the Abilene Clay Sports South Range at 1102 Beltway South in Abilene.
It's been called the largest clay shoot in and around the Abilene area. The best part is that all proceeds benefit West Texas Rehabilitation Center. Save the date and sign up for the event scheduled on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Available shoot times are Friday beginning at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. Saturday the shoot times begin at 8:30 AM, 11 AM, and the final round at 2 PM. Please be aware that each rotation is limited to the first 100 shooters requesting a specific time.
The dinner and auction will be on Saturday evening at the Capital Farm Credit Building at the Expo Center. Doors open at 6:30 PM at the Taylor County Expo 1700 TX-36 for Saturday night's awards party. The silent auction will be open Wednesday, March 13th until 9 PM on April 6th, 2024. Abby French will be the featured entertainment; Texas Roadhouse is catering.
Volunteers are always needed and welcomed. To volunteer contact Karla Brown at 325-793-3507. Competitors are encouraged to sign up online. The cost to sign up is $195 per shooter.
There will also be Ladies' and Juniors' divisions. The videos below inspire me to support the West Texas Rehab Center in West Texas.
