Area Churches Make Plans for Vacation Bible School Fun This Year

Schools will be letting out for summer vacation soon, and many Abilene area Churches will be having Vacation Bible School (VBS). Here's a list of the Churches that have already posted their Vacation Bible School dates for this year.

Many of the churches that I've contacted asked I we could help spread the word, that if at all possible get the children registered early this year. The Church's youth leaders need to prepare and get the personnel needed to care for all the kids attending Vacation Bible School this year.

First Baptist Church, Vacation Bible School at 1333 North 3rd St. in Abilene. VBS is from May 31st - June 4th, 2023 from 9 am to 12 noon. Open to kids 4 yrs to Grade 5. For more information contact FBC-Abilene or call (325) 675-8106.

Wylie Methodist Church, Vacation Bible School is at 3430 Antilley Rd. Abilene. June 11th - June 14th, 2023 from 6-8:30 pm & 10 am - 2 pm Thurs & Fri. Age 3yrs old – 5th Grade Completed. Contact Wylie Methodist online or call (325) 698-3409.

Southwest Park Baptist Church, Vacation Bible School at 2901 South 20th Street Abilene. June 11th – 15th, 2023 from 6 pm-8:30 pm and is open to ages 4 through completed 5th grade. Contact Southwest Park online or call (325) 692-3296.

Get those creative juices flowing. Whether kids are exploring their artistic side in the Bible Study Studio or Crafts Design Center, laying down a track at the Music Sound Stage, or bringing inventions to life at the VBS Workshop

Hillcrest Church of Christ, Vacation Bible School at 650 East Ambler Avenue in Abilene, June 11th - 14th, 2023 from 9 am - 12 pm. Ages 4 years old thru 5th grade. Contact Hillcrest Online

Each summer Hillcrest offers a special time when children can focus on a Bible theme and enjoy experiences, crafts, lessons, and skits centered on that summer’s particular VBS theme. Sing up in advance

Zion Lutheran Church, Vacation Bible School at 2801 Antilley Rd. Abilene, going from  June 18th thru the 22nd, 2023 from 5:30 pm - 8 pm, you must preregister for kids ages 4-year-olds to 5th grade only. Contact Zion-Abilene.org or call (325) 690-0121.

At Zion’s Vacation Bible School, they teach God can make the impossible possible. In Jesus' ministry, He did things that are impossible. His greatest miracle of all was dying on the cross and rising from the dead for our salvation. Discover that Jesus does the impossible for us.

Pioneer Drive Baptist Church (PDBC), Vacation Bible School at 701 S. Pioneer Drive Abilene. going from June 4th - 8th, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Ages Kindergarten thru 5th grade only. Please contact PDBC.org or call (325) 692-6776 for more information.

At PDBC VBS is a time for children from kindergarten through completed 5th grade to have fun and learn about Jesus.

Ridgemont Baptist Church, "The Ridge" Vacation Bible School at 4857 Buffalo Gap Rd. Abilene. Going from June 5th-9th, 2023 from 6 pm-8:30 pm. Open to children ages 4 years old thru 6th grade. Contact RidgemontBaptist.org or call (325) 698-4331.
