The Inspiring Air Force Band “Airmen of Note” Is Coming to Texas
For the record I am a bandaholic. Yes, I made up another word. Nonetheless, I love bands. I started playing trumpet in the sixth grade and continued all the way through high school. I encouraged all eight of my children to join their school bands, which all of them did.
So, as the Air Force band "Airmen of Note" tour comes to the Big Country, be sure and add attending this event on your bucket list. The United States Air Force premier jazz ensemble is primarily stationed in Washington DC. However, Airmen of Note will be doing a nine-day community relations tour through Texas and New Mexico during the month of November 2023.
This tour honors the service of airmen both past and present, and highlights the excellence of those special military members that are working all over the world protecting our freedoms. The best part is that all the concerts are free and
open to the public. That stated, you will still need a ticket to attend the concert.
For tickets and information on any of these concerts, visit the United States Air Force Band website. The first concert kicks off the tour on Friday, November 10, in Plano.

Flight Chief CMSgt Brian Macdonald said, “We are excited to bring the band to Texas and New Mexico. Performing live and meeting communities around the country is a regular highlight of our mission and we look forward to sharing America’s original music with people in Texas and New Mexico.”
You definitely do not want to miss the USAF Airmen of Note concert. The video below is a World War II holiday flashback and my all-time favorite. Watch it, but be careful - it might catapult you into the holiday spirit.
