The Paramount Theatre Presents the Animated Musical "SING"

The Paramount Theatre continues with its themed classics film series. Don't miss the 2016 American computer animated comedy musical film from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures.

Enjoy all your favorite classic movies in the historic surroundings and under the star-lit ceiling of the Paramount Theatre located at 352 Cypress Street in downtown Abilene. All the films in the Paramount's 'Family Film Series' are shown, typically on a Sunday, at 2pm.

"Sing" features over 60 popular hit songs and stars the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Nick Kroll, Taron Egerton, and Tori Kelly. This highly entertaining animated musical is Sunday, July 18th, 2020.

The characters are all animals that have the talent to either sing, dance and or perform and it's all about a theater owner who comes up with the brilliant idea of holding a local talent contest in his struggling movies theater as you'll see in the above video.

While the film is a fun family oriented animated movie it features great music with hit songs like Frank Sinatra's "My Way", Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off", Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" and Stevie Wonder's "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing" plus many other that you'll be singing along with.

This fun family film will come to life under the starlit ceilings of the historic Paramount Theatre. Tickets are only $2 general admission and MUST be purchased in advance online and a reminder to the limited capacity.

As with most venues in Abilene and around the Big Country, CDC guidelines are still being observed.
