The Paramount Theatre continues with its 'Summer Family Film Series'. Don't miss this incredible 2015 Pixar Disney computer-animated comedy titled "Inside Out" on Monday May 31st at 2pm. This film is aimed at the whole family (not just children).

Riley is your typical 11 year old, happy-go-lucky, hockey loving Midwestern girl. Her world gets turned upside down when she and her parents move to San Francisco. That's when Riley’s attitude changes and she starts smarting off to mom and dad.

This film is aimed at parent's and their children. Watch the trailer above to get and idea of what I call, 'a typical pre-teen' at the dinner table. This film was actually written and designed by a Psychology Doctor, who wanted to bring attention to the struggles when kids start growing up and we parents are trying to figure out what's wrong.

This film has become a favorite amongst children due to the great 'kid power' content and the awesome Pixar animation. As for parents, get ready to learn how to better understand and adapt to your child's ever changing world. In short, parents will learn and kids will laugh.

Enjoy all your favorite classic movies in the historic surroundings and under the star-lit ceiling of the Paramount Theatre located at 352 Cypress Street in downtown Abilene. The "Summer Family Film Series" are shown, typically on Mondays and the cost to get in is only $2 dollars for both kids and parents. Get tickets at the door or online here.

This fun (and funny) movie will have you standing and cheering one minute and then you'll need a tissue for the more sincere portions of the movie. The Paramount Theatre is open to full capacity now. And everyone is welcomed to visit the snack bar and then sit back and relax watching "Inside Out".

As with a lot of venues in Abilene and west Texas, There will be a section of the theater that will be sectioned off for those still wanting to do social distancing.
