Get ready Abilene for a night of fun and rockin' entertainment featuring Sister Hazel, an American alternative rock band that hails from Gainesville, Florida. Their sound is very unique, it's folk rock, mixed in southern rock with some classic rock sprinkled in.

Sister Hazel is the featured entertainment for the annual Abilene Zoo's Rock and Roar benefit on Saturday, August 13th. Sister Hazel's hits include "All For You" as seen in the video below. Opening for sister Hazel is the alternative pop-rock band Deep Blue Something you'll remember them for their hit single "Breakfast at Tiffany's" as seen in the video below.

Clayton Carabajal the Abilene Zoo's Conservation, Public Relations, Marketing, and Animal Ambassador says "this is the ultimate date night because the Abilene Zoo is offering a special package where one can bring the kids and they'll be entertained at the Abilene Zoo Camp. While parents enjoy dinner, drinks, and the concert.

Then you and your special someone can grab a cool beer, a plate of barbecue, and kick back and relax on the Abilene Zoo's lawn, all while you rock out to Sister Hazel and Deep Blue Something.

Tickets for this exciting and memorable event are only $30 per adult and only $10 per child and include complete Zoo access plus free giraffe feeding, and unlimited train and carousel rides. Barbecue plates, a full bar, and concessions will be available for purchase.

The gates will open at 6:00 PM with Deep Blue Something will begin at 7:00 PM and Sister Hazel taking to the stage at 8:30 PM. Member tickets are only $30 for adults and $10 for kids (age 3-12).
