Get Ready, Texas! The Largest Wine Festival in the Southwest is Coming to Town
The 38th Annual GrapeFest, a Texas Wine Experience, is set to take place in historic downtown Grapevine, Texas. This year’s event promises to be more exciting than ever, with a stellar entertainment lineup and a variety of wine experiences that will all those who attend. So, mark your calendars for September 12th to 15th, 2024.
This year, the entertainment features former American Idol winner Taylor Hicks, who will headline the Grapevine Mills Main Stage on Friday night, September 13th. Hicks, known for his blend of soul, blues, country, and rock and roll, continues to captivate audiences worldwide. On Saturday night, September 14th, Las Vegas icon Frankie Moreno will take the stage. Moreno, with his genre-blurring rock and roll and boogie-woogie piano style, is sure to electrify the crowd.
Live Music and Tribute Bands
Throughout the weekend, enjoy live music on four stages featuring exciting tribute bands such as Reputation: A Taylor Swift Tribute, Animals: A Maroon 5 Tribute, and Warehouse: A Dave Matthews Tribute. The Bishop String Trio will perform pop songs set to classical music, and The Inspiration Band will keep everyone on their feet.
Wine Experiences
Wine lovers are in for a treat with award-winning wines from Texas and international vineyards, including Barossa Valley (Australia), Krems (Austria), and Parras (Mexico), at the International Wine Experience sponsored by Gaylord Texan Resort. Don’t miss the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic sponsored by Audi Grapevine, where attendees can help crown the top Texas wines during ten tasting sessions, including five VIP sessions. Additionally, there will be a Rosé Rendezvous and Champagne Terrace, offering sparkling wines and rosé with live music and photo opportunities.
Fun Activities and Competitions
The fun extends beyond wine tasting with a grape-stomping contest, champagne cork shoot-off contest, and charcuterie workshops. The festival also features the 2024 VIP Tasting event and several stages with live entertainment throughout the wine fest.
