The Abilene Zoo's 'Rock and Roar' is a summer concert series where live music and wildlife come together for an evening of fun and entertainment. Friday, June 14th, don't miss singer, songwriter, and country music superstar Rodney Atkins performing live at the Abilene Zoo stage.

Rodney Atkins will be performing his long line of hits, spanning from his first album "Honesty" in 2003 to "If You're Going Through Hell," "It's America," "Take A Back Road," to his "Caught Up In Country" and more as seen in the videos below.

“We’re thrilled to host Rodney Atkins at this year’s Rock and Roar,” said Jesse Pottebaum, Zoo Director. “It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy great music and experience the Zoo in a new way. Where else can you enjoy live music with a lion roaring in the background? It’s an event unlike any other in Abilene.”

Pottebaum says "The zoo store and concessions will be open during Rock and Roar and I highly recommend bringing your blankets and lawn chairs for this outdoor event at the Zoo." Furthermore, come hungry and thirsty because BBQ and frosty cold adult beverages will be available.
