Ray Wylie Hubbard's new album "The Ruffians Misfortune" is due for release next month. Now, if you'd like to hear it live before it's out, head over to Larry Joe Taylor's 'Texas Music Festival' where you're bound to hear it.

The album is full of Hubbard's wisdom and a couple songs worth noting. "Chick Singer, Badass Rockin'" is about Chrissie Hynde and Joan Jett. In a Rolling Stone interview, Ray said the song was inspired by his love for the female rockers.

Another is the duet he did with Blues artist Charlie Musselwhite. Ray performed that song live in Tennessee last month, see video below.

From the first cut, to the last Ray Wylie Hubbard covers life as he knows it. I believe it's a great album and one that should earn him another Grammy or two.
