Rascal Flatts have a fan in Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, and after a thrilling overtime win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, their relationship may grow deeper. The trio gave a brilliant performance of the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ prior to the game at Mile High Stadium. Could Gary, Jay and Jo Don be Tebow’s good luck charm?

Maybe for this playoff run, but fans and critics of the much-talked-about QB know luck has been on his side since he got the starting job earlier this season. Prior to the game, the trio met with Tebow. Country Music Is Love reports that the gang took tosses from the left-hander and spent time catching up.

This isn’t the first time they’ve shaken hands, however. In 2009, Tebow joined Rascal Flatts — who he calls his favorite band — onstage for a show in Tampa, Fla. The former University of Florida star also played golf with them earlier that same day.

During the game, Jay DeMarcus tweeted from the sidelines. It’s unlikely the group will get to wish Tebow good luck in similar fashion next week, however. The Broncos travel to Foxboro, Mass. to play the New England Patriots, who are not likely to be very accommodating.
