Get set for some gobble-gobble good times as the Abilene Runners Club's 20th Turkey Trot returns on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, from 7 AM until 9:30 AM.

There are no race day sign-ups or packet pick-ups. Packet pick-ups are scheduled for Wednesday, November 22, from noon to 6 PM at the Abilene Running Company located at 2654 Industrial Blvd. As in the past the traditional Turkey Trot will include the 5K, Kid Race, and 1-Mile Fun Run.

The Turkey Trot will begin promptly at 8 AM with the 5K. At 9 AM the Kid Race and 1-Mile Fun Run will kick off around Shotwell Stadium. For a map or more information, contact Abilene Runners Club via email or click here.

The Abilene Turkey Trot course will be clearly marked on the road with directional signs to guide you safely through the course. Chip timing will be available this year as well. Again, there will be no race-day registration or packet pickups; all that is to be done the day before.

All prices are for individuals only. The price to participate in this year's Turkey Trot is $25 per person, and $17 per person for ages 0-12. Early registration has ended; 2023 Turkey Trot t-shirts are not guaranteed and a late fee will be added.

ARC President Joe Cook asks participants to "Please place your bib on the front, outside of your clothing. Do not put anything over your bib as this could impede the timing equipment from detecting your chip. Finishers' medals will be given to everyone who completes the course.
