UPDATE: Clyde New Years Eve Fundraiser has Been Postponed
UPDATE: The Annual Clyde Boys and Girls Club New Year's Eve Fundraiser dinner and dance has been postponed until Saturday, February 13th, 2021. Three tables still remain open if you would like to sponsor this event.
I think it's safe to say that 2020 has been a year that nearly everyone is ready to put behind us once and for all. If you're looking for a way to ring out the old and ring in the New Year, all the while helping raise money to help the children in Clyde, Texas America. Well, here's your chance.
This years annual Boys and Girls Club fundraiser dinner and dance will be considerably different. First off, the dinner/dance will be held at the actual Boys and Girls Club gym in Clyde at 210 South 3rd Street West, Clyde on Thursday, December 31st, 2020.
The dinner will be catered by Clyde's own award winning 5-C Smokehouse. Now if' you have never had 5-C Smokehouse, you are missing out on one of Texas' best steaks, BBQ and so much more. They are simply the best in my opinion. Furthermore, 5-C has always gone above and beyond to help their own community. So get ready for some awesome eats.
This year the you'll dance to the sounds of the Doug and Shannon Roysden Band. Pastor Doug is an incredible musician that plays everything from folk, country, Texas Red Dirt, Blues, swing and Rock-n-Roll as seen in the above video.
The biggest difference in this years annual fundraiser is the fact that, "single tickets" to the Boys and Girls Club New Years Eve fundraiser are NOT available. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, only tables of eight are available. So If you want to attend, get a group together and come have some fun as a group.
The 'Champagne Toast' at midnight will take place, however, midnight will come two hours earlier. As Mark Young, President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Abilene and Clyde says "We will ring in the new year on Greenland's time zone at 10pm so everyone can get hone early and safe."
You must be 21 years old or older to participate. The doors will open at 7:30 PM and the dance will go on until the champagne toast at 10pm. Table tickets are VERY limited and available only by contacting Mark Young at the Boys and Girls Club, call 325-201-4914.
CDC guidelines and social distancing will be strictly adhered to.
