Make Most of your Midway Experience at West Texas Fair & Rodeo 2023
This year's West Texas Fair & Rodeo promises to be a splendid event because of all the talented musical artists scheduled to perform plus the rodeo plus the thrilling midway rides. Carnival Americana has just released the list of all the rides they're bringing.
After spinning on a ferris wheel continuously for five days and four nights, I like to consider myself a ferris wheel expert (that doesn't really make me an expert, LOL). This list of rides looks like a lot of fun. The fair is scheduled to be in Abilene from Thursday, September 7, through Saturday, September 16.
Gates to the fair are open from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. during weekdays and from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. on weekends. Gate admission is cash only and does not cover entry into the Taylor Telecom Arena for the PRCA Rodeo. Keep in mind there are teller machines at the entrance of many of the exhibit buildings.
Credit and debit cards can be used at the main office of the Taylor County Expo Center for rodeo tickets and season passes ONLY. Plus rodeo tickets can be purchased right here online. Just remember, fair and ride tickets are CASH ONLY.
Gate Admission

Carnival Ride Tickets (midway open Sept 7-16)

- Single Tickets cost $1 each,- Kiddie rides require 2-4 tickets
- All other rides require 3-5 tickets
