LOOK: Largemouth Bass Are Setting Records in the Lone Star State
What I think is super impressive is that there are five record holders in the entire state of Texas that were caught in our West Texas lake O. H. Ivie. While Lake Fork just east of the Metroplex seems to be the hot spot for Texas state record largemouth bass, producing 26 record fish.
The biggest largemouth bass ever caught in Texas was back in 1992 and it was an 18.18-pound, 25.50-inch largemouth bass caught by Barry StClair in January of 1992. This is the latest most up-to-date list of lunkers from the Texas Parks and Wildlife's website.
