KEAN 105 Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon is Thursday and Friday

It's that time of year, where we as a radio station and a community come together to help support the 'Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon' this Thursday, February 28th and Friday March 1st, 2013 from 6 AM till 7 PM both days. We really need your help to raise the money necessary to keep the healing and research going at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Yes, every $20 donation goes straight to helping kids beat cancer and other deadly diseases, so it's important that we keep the support going. There's never been a time in which I can remember, where there were so many kids fighting to stay alive. As Danny Thomas once said "no child should die in the dawn of life." No Child has ever been turn away from the St Jude Children's Research Hospital. It's the only pediatric hospital in the world that treats children regardless of their ability to pay.

If you know someone who has ever been afflicted with cancer, no matter what age they are, they're more than likely receiving or did receive some form of St. Jude founded treatment. in 1962 when Danny Thomas started the hospital the cure rate for Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) was just over 3 percent. Today thanks to St. Jude and their research, the cure rate is well over 93 percent. So, you see it's for the kids but everyone benefits from the work done at St Jude.
