Jo Dee Messina Launches Campaign to Raise Money for New Album

Jo Dee Messina was one of my favorite singers and then she kinda faded away. Now she's hoping to make a comeback with the help of her fans. She's launched a campaign to raise money and gather input from fans for the album she wants to make. It's called 'My Time. Our Music." and it's going to be done independent of a major label backing.

Messina has always been head strong but when it comes to being under a major label contract you pretty much have to do things their way or take the highway. So Jo Dee is wanting to make this album on her own terms without 'big brother' helping. So she's turned to a website called Kickstarter to help her raise the $100,000 needed to complete the project. The catch is the money has to be raised in 30 days.

She is asking for fans to donate money but also to have input into the songs that will make up the album. You can make your suggestions via Twitter, Facebook and through StageIt reviews. You also have a chance to vote on the album artwork and even submit your own work for consideration.
