Texas Halloween Road Trip: Nightmare on 19th Street Brings the Screams to Lubbock
Ready to get your scare on in Texas? Halloween is creeping up, and if you're looking for something that'll scare the absolute hell out of you, I've got a place you need to check out!
I'm talking about Nightmare on 19th Street in Lubbock, Texas, one of those Halloween attractions that's absolutely worth the road trip from Abilene and the Big Country.

Four Haunted Houses, One Seriously Creepy Night

This isn't your typical little haunted house where somebody jumps out from behind a curtain wearing a cheap rubber mask. Nope. These folks take scaring people seriously!
Celebrating 20 years of fear in 2026, Nightmare on 19th Street features four terrifying attractions, all included with one ticket:
- BloodMoon Manor
- KarnEvil
- Castle Dominus
- Roger Ratty's Pizza/Playhouse
That's more than 1.25 miles of scares, complete with creepy characters, elaborate sets, special effects, and plenty of opportunities to scream like a little kid.
New Nightmares Await in 2026
This year's theme is The Year of the Creeps, featuring new characters and scenes throughout the park, including Big Betty, Mr. Skinner, Dr. Mortis, and Lockjaw.
Seriously, those names alone sound like people I don't want to meet in a dark alley.
A Halloween Road Trip Worth Taking
I've got some pictures of what you can expect at Nightmare on 19th Street, so you can get an idea of what you're getting yourself into. Sadly, I have yet to explore this killer haunted attraction, but something tells me this could be my year. Of course, as a Dallas Cowboys fan, I'm actually trained to say that.
Located at 602 East 19th Street in Lubbock, it's a fun Halloween road trip for anybody around West Texas who loves a good scare. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes because you're going to be doing a lot of walking. Possibly running, depending on how brave you think you are.
