This Hidden Glamping Spot In Texas Completely Changed My Weekend Getaway Game
Some trips in Texas just hit different, and this one absolutely did. My wife and I headed to Marble Falls for my birthday and the Bronco Off-Roadeo (more about that in another article), but the real surprise ended up being where we stayed. Tucked along the Colorado River, it completely changed what I think a weekend getaway should feel like.
The Texas Hill Country Drive Alone Is Worth It
If you’ve never driven through the Hill Country, you’re missing out. This isn’t just a “get there” kind of trip; it’s truly part of the experience. Rolling hills, winding roads, and views that make you slow down, whether you want to or not. It’s the kind of drive that reminds you Texas isn’t just flat land and highways.

Safari for the Soul Is Next-Level Glamping in Texas
We stayed at Safari for the Soul Glamping, and calling it “glamping” almost feels like underselling it. They’ve got four A-frame tents, each with its own personality. We stayed in Cosmic Nights, and it checked every box:
- King-size bed
- Tons of space
- Private outdoor bathroom and shower
- Hot tub
- Fire pit
- Outdoor movie screen setup
It’s private, quiet, and set up in a way that makes you feel like you’ve got your own little slice of the Hill Country.
Steps From the Colorado River and Unreal Sunsets
One of the best parts? You’re just a short walk from the Colorado River. We made that walk one evening, caught the sunset, and just sat there taking it all in. No distractions, no noise, just water, sky, and that calm you don’t realize you need until you have it.
We even caught a pretty solid Texas storm one night, and everything held up perfectly. Honestly made it even cooler.

The Kind of Hosts That Make It Special
Scott and Denise, the owners, were incredible. Super welcoming, easy to work with, and you can tell they’ve put real thought into every detail of the experience. It doesn’t feel corporate, it feels personal...plus, they were just some super cool people!
A Unique Texas Getaway That’s Actually Worth the Trip
It’s only about a three-hour drive, but it feels like you went way further.
So, if you’re looking for something different, something that actually lets you unplug and recharge, this is it. Safari For The Soul is your new spot!
I went for the Bronco Off-Roadeo…But I’d go back just for this.
