Chances are, you’ve seen the Abilene Police Department share photos asking for help identifying someone tied to an investigation. Well, they’re doing it again, and this time they’re hoping the public can help put a name to a face in connection to an active case here in the Key City.

According to the Abilene Police Department, investigators are requesting assistance identifying a female connected to an active investigation case number 26-034192. As always, police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Sometimes it’s not some giant, dramatic TV-style clue that breaks a case wide open. It can literally be one person recognizing a face while scrolling Facebook during lunch.

Abilene Police Need Community Help

One thing I’ve always said about Abilene and the Big Country is this: people here tend to rally together when something’s going on. Whether it’s severe weather, a missing pet, or helping law enforcement identify someone tied to an investigation, this community usually shows up.

Now obviously, this doesn’t mean grabbing the pitchforks and turning the comments section into an episode of CSI: Facebook Edition. It just means if you legitimately recognize this person or know something that could help investigators, reach out through the proper channels.

Here’s How To Contact Abilene Police

If you have information regarding this case, you can:

  • Send a message to the Abilene Police Department on Facebook
  • Call the non-emergency line at 325-673-8331
  • Contact Abilene Crime Stoppers

No matter how small the detail may seem, it could help investigators connect the dots.

And let’s be honest… Abilene Facebook detectives usually identify somebody faster than your aunt spots you in public after saying you could “barely make it” to the family cookout. Am I right?
