Freedom of War: A Fourth of July Weekend To Remember

This two-day drag racing showdown is bringing some serious horsepower to the Big Country on Friday and Saturday, with racers from all over the U.S. battling for huge payouts, bragging rights, and a chance to put their name in Freedom of War history.

The biggest attraction is the Small Tire class, which features a guaranteed $150,000 payout and a whopping $75,000 payday for the winner. That's enough money to make even the calmest racer a little nervous at the starting line.

Massive Payouts, Fast Cars, and Family Fun

Freedom of War isn't just for hardcore racers. There will be something for everyone throughout the weekend, and even fireworks on Saturday night.

Fans can watch Small Tire, True Street, Daily Driver, Lil Gangster, and multiple Index classes battle it out on the track. Kids can even get involved with the always entertaining Power Wheels races on Saturday.

Saturday also features a driver meet-and-greet from noon to 3 p.m., giving fans a chance to get up close with the drivers and check out some of the fastest street-style race cars around.

And because this is Texas, the weekend wraps up with a fireworks show scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.
