Local Animal Charity Hosts Corks And Collars Event With Wine And Costumed Dogs This Weekend
If you know me, you know there are a few things that will get my attention immediately: Halloween, a good drink, live music, and dogs.
Put all four together and, well, you’ve pretty much got me.
My friends from All Kind Animal Initiative recently stopped by the Rock 108 studios to talk about Corks & Collars, a seriously cool event happening Saturday, October 10, from noon to 5 p.m. at The Winery at Willow Creek, 4353 South Treadaway Boulevard in Abilene. And yes, your dog is invited to the party.
Halloween Costumes Aren’t Just for Humans
Corks & Collars promises an afternoon of wine, food, live music and dogs dressed in their Halloween best. Let me repeat that last part. DOGS. IN. HALLOWEEN. COSTUMES.
Even better, all of this fun benefits All Kind Animal Initiative, the folks doing some incredible work helping animals right here in Abilene. If you've followed some of the urgent dogs we've featured on Rock 108, you already know how much I respect what these folks do.
They aren't just talking about helping animals. They're out there doing it.
Listen to My Interview With All Kind Animal Initiative
I had some of the All Kind crew stop by the station to tell me more about Corks & Collars, what they've got planned and, of course, the animals this event ultimately helps.
Grab the Leash and Head to Willow Creek
Corks & Collars runs from noon to 5 p.m. October 10 at The Winery at Willow Creek and is presented by Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union, with support from The Winery at Willow Creek and Datroo Technologies.
Come hungry. Come thirsty. Bring the dog. And for the love of Halloween, put that dog in a costume.
