Abilene Sonflower Craft Show Helps You Shop Early and Give Back
For five years, I’ve found Christmas gifts for my wife and a couple of my daughters at Abilene’s Sonflower Women’s Ministry Craft Show and Ministry Fair. But the best part is knowing this shopping trip helps support ministries right here in our community.
Join me Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at First Church of the Nazarene, 2849 Beltway South in Abilene. I’ll be there broadcasting live and browsing, too.
More Than 70 Vendors and Unique Finds
With more than 70 vendors and shopping indoors and outdoors, you’ll find handmade jewelry, baked goods, embroidery, paintings, local artists, unique gifts, and plenty more.
Getting Christmas shopping done early has become a tradition for me. There’s something special about finding a gift with a personal touch while helping others.
My Guitar Purse Makes Me Look Like a Rock Star
About three years ago, I bought a purse here shaped like a full-size electric guitar. Now it carries my equipment when I’m broadcasting live.
Instead of arriving with an ordinary bag, here comes Fearless looking like a rock star! Seeing this one-armed guy crossing the parking lot, you might wonder, “Who’s he fixing to play for?”
The guitar purse carries the equipment; I supply the entertainment. It’s still one of my favorite finds.
Good Food That Helps the Kids
The youth will run the concession stand kitchen, with proceeds benefiting the youth ministry. I’ve eaten their food, and it’s delicious.
A silent auction supports the music ministry, while the overall event benefits the Sonflower Women’s Ministry. That’s “Son” as in the Son of God.
A Church Family Dear to My Heart
From Jo, who welcomes you at the door and whose husband Mike was my best friend for years, to Carol, who has poured her heart into organizing this event, these people are dear to me.
Come see me on October 24. We’ll have some fun, get a little shopping done, and support the kids and ministries that make this day special.
