It’s a Day of Shopping Fun at This Texas Church’s Market Days
With the holidays just around the corner, you may want to get a jumpstart on some shopping at Wylie Christian Church's always fun and entertaining Market Days. One thing to keep in mind while shopping at Market Days is that this is a monthly fundraiser for their youth division. Rest assured when you shop, you are helping kids in our community.
What I like about WCC's Market Days is that there are vendors who make what they sell, from jewelry to paintings, clothing to home decorations, and so much more. Other vendors are selling yard or garage sale items. You could say that WCC's Market Days are where an arts-and-crafts fair meets a flea market/garage sale.
WCC Youth Pastor Roni Stanton informed me that at this event in particular there will be more and several new vendors that have never been there before. There are still a couple of spaces left if someone wants to set up as a vendor.
The entrance fee for this event is 100% free. The sale is Saturday, September 16, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Wylie Christian Church at 6250 Buffalo Gap Rd.
I enjoy attending these church events because first of all, they're for a great cause, and secondly, they always have a bake sale table with homemade tasty treats. Confession here: these church sales events are my favorite pastimes. It's where I found one of my most prized possessions. The "Guitar Purse" that I carry around when I'm on location broadcasting live? I purchased it at a church sale.
Furthermore, the Wylie Christian Church is where I cook Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for those who have no place to have holiday dinner. Pastor Doug Roysden has let me cook and serve every year for the last ten years, and it happens at the WCC.
To reserve a spot or for more information, contact Pastor Roni at (325) 691-0400. Donations are being accepted at the church. WCC Market Days benefit all church youth activities, their outreach programs, the Noah Project, the Salvation Army, and WCC's pantry service.
