Country music superstar Eric Church might have found out what his limitations were after embarking on his Double Down Tour. Church, whose tour plays two nights in each city he hits, discovered how demanding the process can be, especially where there is not an opening act on tour with him.

In short: While this is an extraordinary feat and most certainly a tedious one, Church will most likely not attempt it again.

Church opened up to his record label UMG Nashville about the experience, saying, "You had your Friday night set and your Saturday night set, but then you have people that came to both nights.

"I feel like from now on, I hope that we can focus on those people that come one night of the year that they’ve traveled however many miles, they want to hear ‘Round Here Buzz,’ they get to hear ‘Round Here Buzz,’ and I still want it to be unique.

"I want it to be different, but I don’t know if [I'd do] another tour like this," he admits.

However, Church does not regret his decision to embark on the tour with its parameters. Rather, he is more appreciative and thankful that he did it, especially when it comes to the fans coming out to support him.

"I love that we did it," he says. "I love that it was a success. I love that there were people that came to both nights and got it. There were people that came to one of the two nights and got it, but at the same time, it’s not something I would do again. I think that’s good...We stretched and you’re not gonna get to see it again."

The tour has been a huge success for Church. With only one performance in Nashville, Church broke an attendance record that was previously held by Taylor Swift. Church's Nashville show attracted a crowd of 56,521 people at Nissan Stadium.

Church launched the Double Down Tour in support of his latest record Desperate Man, which was the singer-songwriter's first release since the colossal success of his previous record Mr. Misunderstood.

Church's Double Down Tour continues until the end of November this year. For tickets and a list of remaining dates, you can visit his website.
