Dustin Lynch’s First Time on the Radio Involved ‘a Lot of Screaming, a Lot of Tears’
Dustin Lynch released his self-titled debut album in 2012, and has since notched five No. 1 hits. But despite his success -- the Dustin Lynch album went to No. 1, and six of his singles have been certified either gold or platinum -- the singer says he can remember his first time on the radio "like it was yesterday." Below, Lynch recalls the special moment to The Boot.
I was going from Birmingham, Ala., to Chattanooga, Tenn., on radio tour, visiting all the radio stations. So that was really cool [because] we were all on a bus with all the guys and girls that’s responsible for getting me on the radio – my record label reps. That was really cool.
It was a lot of a screaming, a lot of tears for me, calling Mom and Dad. It was really neat.
