Pod #1 comes with a hot tub recessed in the outside deck and sleeps three, so it makes for a quality couple's getaway, too.

The adventurous types can head to Longhorn Caverns State Park, which offers both easy walking tours designed for beginners and cave-repelling excursions for the more daring. It's also one of the best places to see one of the smallest species of bats in North America — the tri-colored bat.

And for those who prefer the kind of adventure that lets them stay in the car, The Exotic Resort Zoo lets you experience over 45 species of exotic animals free-roaming across 137 acres of the Texas Hill Country from the comfort of your car.
