Haunting Secrets Can Be Found in This Tiny Texas Village

The question must be asked, do you believe in ghosts? If you answered yes, then I ask you if you're afraid of ghosts. These were the questions I was asked years ago when I first toured the Buffalo Gap Historic Village Jail.

Once you get that question settled in your mind, you will be ready to tour the Buffalo Gap Historic Villages' Jail, which many believe to be haunted. For the record, I Rudy Fearless Fernandez do not believe in ghosts. I do however believe that something freaky is going on at our Buffalo Gap Historic Village.

Some of these infamous ghost stories are validated through photographs which tend to make the jail and Texas Ranger Hill House even creepier. When I toured the jail as our group was ready to exit someone from inside the jail cell tapped me on my shoulder, I quickly turned around to see nobody standing there. As I stood there staring at an empty jail cell I had this warm gust of air come across with a very foul odor, one that reminded me of someone with bad breath.

Then there's the time when I toured the Texas Ranger Hill House known for housing the first Texas Ranger in this area in the late 1800s. Once again I was the last one to come into the house as the tour guide was explaining what the house was all about about 10 feet behind me a candle and Mrs Hill's purse fell to the ground there was nobody around them when that happened. I was then told it was a ghost, that's when Fearless put it in high gear and walked ahead of everybody to get outside.

I will admit the air inside the Hill House seemed a little thicker and heavier. However, there was a sweet scent of honeysuckle that swept the air. Do you believe in ghosts? I don't, but how do you explain the series of events that took place and continue taking place when people walk through the Buffalo Gap Historic Village?
