Big Spring Family Aquatic Center Provides Enough Fun for Everyone
Did you know Big Spring has a water park? The Russ McEwen Family Aquatic Center is now open and provides an alternative to driving to the Dallas/Ft.Worth area.
The center opened 4 years ago and many folks don't realize this is an option to driving to South Texas or the Dallas/Ft. Worth areas. Open seasonally from around Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is staffed with qualified lifeguards to ensure safety and is a great place for the whole family.
The park is small enough to keep an eye on the little ones but big enough to provide fun for the whole family. The Aquatic Center has 2 water slides, a lazy river, kids play area, sand volleyball pit, 4 pavilions available for rental, snack bar, and plenty of chairs for lounging and sunning.
Located inside the Comanche Trail Park in Big Spring the center is open:
- Tuesday through Friday - 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday - 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Closed on Mondays
Entry fee is $5 for ages 3 and up; ages 2 and under are free. Private, group and pavilion rental fees vary.
