The Clay Break Classic Is a Fun Fundraiser Here In West Texas
The Annual Clay Break Classic is a benefit-fundraiser benefitting the Big Country Ben Richey Boys Ranch and Family Program. This specific West Texas clay shoot began in 2006. The clay break organizers, Melinda, and Randolph Scott, started this event to honor their late son.
Since then, the event now honors past ranch supporters. This year the Classic will be in memory of Doug Johnston. Since its inception, Melinda and Randy and the Clay Break Classic have raised over $1,000,000 to help support the programs at the Ranch.
Here's What Is Taking Place At This Years Clay Break Classic
Generous donors, business owners, and loyal committee members work together to ensure a fun, memorable, and successful event. This year's Clay Break Classic is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at the Abilene Clay Sports located just East of Hwy 83/84 on Spur 707 junction.
If you only participate in the Clay Break's raffle, you help support the Ben Richey Boys Ranch programs as well. The Ranch has been instrumental in helping boys finish school and become helpful and contributing members of our community.
According to the latest stats, since 1947 the Boys Ranch has served over 800 at-risk boys and the Family Program has served 120 single mothers and 251 children since it began. Thanks in advance for supporting the mission at the Ranch, to provide hope and healing to hurting children and families in a safe and loving Christian environment.
