Why Do They Post Height Limits On Bridges? [VIDEO]

I was sitting at home last weekend, there wasn’t much on television but I did find one show that caught my attention. I landed on the Speed channel.  The show is called “Dumbest Stuff on Wheels”.  The title says it all.  This shows just how much we pay attention to signs when we drive.

This is an intersection in Durham, NC. There is a railroad track that runs across this intersection. The railroad track can not be raised to keep this from happening so there are signs and caution lights to warn drivers of the low crossing. Watch how many people just barrel on through never realizing that their truck is taller than the railroad crossing. The tops of the trucks peel open like a sardine can.
