Watch Little Big Town Perform ‘Pontoon’ on Ellen [VIDEO]

Count ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ among the stops on the Little Big Town promotional tour for the release of their new CD ‘Tornado’. The band stopped by Thursday to play their first ever #1 song, ‘Pontoon’ for Ellen and the audience.

As you can see in the video, their performance was excellent. There’s something to be said for a band that can make the live version of their songs sound just like the album cut, and that’s exactly what Little Big Town did. Check it out.

‘Pontoon’ received #1 status on the country music charts shortly after  the single was certified platinum, just in time for the release of ‘Tornado’, which hit stores September 11.

2012 has proven to be Little Big Town’s biggest year yet. Sure, a platinum record reaching the top spot on the charts and the release of their fifth studio album has something to do with it. But the band has also been nominated for 3 CMA Awards, including Vocal Group of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Single of the Year. They’ll find out the results along with us, November 1^st on ABC.
