It's been a busy - and successful - year for Wade Bowen. And the singer-songwriter isn't going to let 2014 end without giving his fans a new album!

Bowen's seventh CD will be simply titled 'Wade Bowen', and is aiming for an October 28th release date. Fans can pre-order the new album from iTunes beginning this Thursday (9/11).

So, what can we expect from the new CD? When we talked with him in April, Wade gave some insight. He tells us, "I'm really excited...all I know is it's not a typical Wade Bowen record. I'm really going out on a limb here and trying to change things up and stir the pot a little bit, and not just make another record. And try to really capture some energy that we really need from our live shows, and try to have fun with this record, and I think you can hear it...I think for the most part, you hear a happier, more mature Wade Bowen...which I think is something I really needed for my career."

Wade also broke the news that he had parted ways with Sony (with whom he released his 2012 album 'The Given'). He seemed relieved to get back to making music by himself, without the input from a major label. He also pointed out that the songs he's written for the new album were going to be more about the things he's been through in his life.

Fans should be pumped about the new CD. Wade has worked on it through a year that has seen him put on his most successful Wade Bowen Classic to date - raising over $250k for charity. Bowen has also been taking his first crack at producing helping out up-and-comer Cody Riley with his new album.
