We’ve two Walking Dead episodes left in 2016, and it looks like next week’s penultimate “Sing Me a Song” might finally break with Season 7's piecemeal approach. Not only will Negan and the Saviors return, but our first clip sees Michonne out on the road, doing her best impression of The Wire.

Four episodes into The Walking Dead Season 7, and little has happened beyond Negan inflicting the worst of horrors on even those who survived the deadly premiere. Things may get worse before they get better, as the full set of titles and synopses through midseason tease that Negan won’t stay away from Alexandria for long.

We live in an age of fan-theories, where Westworld twists might be unlocked on Reddit after one episode, though as The Walking Dead proved with #DumpsterGate last year, it isn’t always worth the wait. Some clever fans have observed at least one background detail that might put this past Sunday’s “Service” into perspective, however, and tease Rick’s plan to strike back.

A good number of Walking Dead favorites played bit parts in this past weekend’s “Service,” but will next week’s “Go Getters” finally catch us up with Negan’s subjects? At the very least, our first clip reveals Michonne and Carl playing major roles, even if they’re not totally in sync.

Dave Chappelle practically quit show-business over the endless association with his viral Chappelle’s Show characters, to the point few presumed we’d ever see them again. Well, it seems we owe The Walking Dead’s frustrating cliffhanger a debt of gratitude, as Chappelle took his SNL hosting as a chance to revive a number of Chappelle’s Show favorites … at least to kill one off.

AMC isn’t one to look a rotting gift horse like The Walking Dead in the mouth, extending its highest-rated series so long as creator Robert Kirkman provides comic source material. That relationship doesn’t necessarily extend both ways, however, as Kirkman acknowledges AMC has zero input or foreknowledge of any potential story shakeups.

Chances are, you’ve heard of a few odd easter eggs linking The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad, even going so far as to posit that the zombie apocalypse occurred shortly after the events of Breaking Bad’s final season. If not, allow Netflix to literally draw those connections for you, while we purchase supplies for a giant cork board.

Even as The Walking Dead apparently locked down Negan’s victim two years ago, production still went through with its shell game of filming death scenes for each cast member. We saw glimpses of them with Sunday’s premiere, but a new leak reveals what might have been the show’s most horrific choice.

Well, now that the biggest Walking Dead Season 7 mystery is finally splattered out in the open, next week can begin to lay out the full story. So it is, that our first new clip from “The Well” takes us inside the enigmatic new community known as “The Kingdom,” as Morgan prepares Carol to meet the King.
