Bestselling author Gillian Flynn may have penned the script for the very first film based on one of her novels -- David Fincher's 'Gone Girl' -- but that doesn't mean that the writer balked at slicing and dicing her own work. We've known for a quite some time (since January, when Fincher's film was the cover story on Entertainment Weekly, to be precise) that Flynn had changed her own story for the big screen, with a big emphasis placed on mixing around the feature's third act.

‘Gone Girl’ Review: David Fincher’s Sleazy Prestige Film

Throughout David Fincher’s adaptation of ‘Gone Girl,’ it was almost as if my subconscious was telling me that this movie shouldn’t be as good as what I was watching. That’s not a slam on Gillian Flynn’s novel (obviously; I haven’t read it), it’s just that the book is presented in such a unique way, which would at least seem almost impossible to pull off – just in a basic book vs. movie sort of way. ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Set Photos Show Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne as More Plot Details Emerge

We've already seen our fair share of 'Batman vs. Superman' set photos showing off Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, but we now have our first look at Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne! And he looks like ... Ben Affleck! With some grey in his hair! Yeah, thats not too surprising. After all, the ruggedly handsome Affleck already looks enough like a playboy millionaire and the little bit of grey just confirms what director Zack Snyder has already said: this will be an older, more tired Batman.

‘Gone Girl’ Trailer: Ben Affleck Is the Most Hated Man in America

Yes, Ben Affleck is the most hated man in America, but we're not referring to his Batman backlash (though, that has arguably quelled considerably).
