Stanton is a small town between Big Spring and Midland. This small town becomes packed with folks selling clothes, antiques, collectibles and more during the Old Sorehead Trade Days.

Three times a year this small town of about 3,000 grows to about 30,000 with their Trade Days event. About 600 vendors show up in downtown Stanton in April, June and October and for two full days anything you could possibly want can be found.

Vendors from all over Texas and beyond bring their goods to be sold or traded. There are handmade items to clothing to antiques and much, much more. Plus, there's tons of food to enjoy as well; like funnel cakes and roasted corn! The event is hosted the 2nd weekend of April, June and October.

Of course, there are lots of other great events that take place in Stanton too. They have a summer music festival, old settlers reunion, lighted Christmas parade and host cook-offs as well.

Plus, you'll find a lot of history in this small town. The beginning of Stanton began with the  1881 Texas and Pacific Railway settlement along the railway. You can see the Connell House, built in 1882, by special appointment. You will find more great history regarding the convent, old jail, and the Milhollon House.

Stanton is a quaint little town with lots of personality and it's just a quick trip down the road from Abilene. So grab the kids and check it out for yourself.
