Primetime, The Skatin Place, Paramount Theatre and Other New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Abilene

Abilene's Paramount Theatre will be showing the film 'Annie Get Your Gun'. Showtime is at 7:30 at the historic Paramount Theatre at 352 Cypress Street. The cost will be $6 for all seats. For more information call 676-9620 or check out the links below for their official website and Facebook page.

If you like live music and your not wanting to pay a cover charge, then Jack Rabbit Slims at 833 E. Hwy 80, is the place for you. Local Abilene rockers, Jesus Gun Club, will be playing live on New Year's Eve, with no cover charge, and for those 21 and up, a free champagne toast at midnight.

The Lucky Mule Saloon will be hosting their 'Back and White Ball' on New Year's Eve. There will be a DJ mixing in country, hip hop, rock, r&b, and more all night. Plus, a free Champagne toast, $500 balloon drop, 3 free exotic vacations, and a chance to win 2 free tickets to every concert for 1 full year. Drink Specials will include 50 cent wells and $1.25 domestic long necks till 9. You can buy advanced tickets for $8, or $10 at the door.

The Skatin Place will be having a New Year's Eve Late Skate and Dance and will be open until 1am. It will be $15 per person, plus rental. If you just want to go to the regular session, you pay $9 and can skate until 9pm New Year's Eve.

Primetime in Abilene will have two different parties this year. The Family Party runs from 5-8pm on New Year's Eve and the Countdown Party runs from 8-12:30 the same night. Both parties will cost $25 for adults and $20 for kids and will include unlimited bowling and billiards, banquet style dinner, go-carts, laser tag, bumper cars, NASCAR simulator, and more. Plus, there will be giveaways throughout the night. Also, the new Backstage Pass will allow you to bring your own beer or wine if you're 21 and over, and there will be a free champagne toast.
