I love the ocean and it's a big, big world down there. There is so much undiscovered area under the sea that it's not surprising there has been a new world discovered. The environment in Antarctica where this was discovered is very unique in that its 32 degrees but doesn't form ice and also has it's own heat source.

New creatures have been discovered in this area about 8000 ft. down in freezing cold waters. The temperature is 32 degrees but because it's sea water it doesn't freeze plus there are heat vents that force temps to about 725 degrees. So these sea creatures have adapted to their surroundings and are actually thriving.

The crab is known affectionately as the "yeti crab" because of the little hairy chest that helps it feed off of bacteria. Anemone and octopus have also been found in the area.

This is a very difficult for humans to work because of the extreme conditions. The heat vents were discovered in 2000 but it's taken this long to get back to them and explore. These creatures have never before been seen and it's very exciting to see the new life.

From the oceans to space there is so much out there yet to be discovered.
