Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel was arrested late Wednesday night for driving while intoxicated..

Police in Boone County, Missouri initially pulled the coach over for lane and signal violations, but he was booked into jail and charged with DWI. He was later released on $500 bond.

This is the Missouri coaching staff’s second alcohol-related offense in just over a year. Offensive line coach Bruce Walker was arrested in a similar charge in August of last year.

Police officials say this was Pinkel’s first offense and that he was cooperative throughout the process. University of Missouri officials have not yet made any official statement, but are expected to release a statement later Thursday.
