With just five words, Mike Fisher shot down the recent rumors that he and Carrie Underwood are headed for a divorce. On Instagram, the NHL hockey player responded to a concerned fan, letting her know that he and his wife are doing just fine.

After Fisher posted a quote from Psalm 139 on Instagram on Sunday (Feb. 18), an Instagram user who goes by @beverly.ayers responded that she was "[p]raying for you and Carrie." She adds in her comment, "Ignore the media! Hold tight to each other. There are always bumps in the road. Keep focusing on Jesus! He will guide you thru!"

"We’ve never been better," Fisher writes in reply. "Thanks."

Rumors that Underwood and Fisher's marriage is on the rocks began thanks to an In Touch Weekly story published in mid-February; the article cites an anonymous source. Fisher's reply to @beverly.ayers also includes a bit of a dig at the tabloid: "That's not media," he writes.

Underwood met the Fisher backstage at one of her concerts in 2008, and after a whirlwind romance, Fisher popped the question in December of 2009, only a year after their first meeting. The couple got married two years later, on July 10, 2010, in Greensboro, Ga., and welcomed their son, Isaiah Michael Fisher, on Feb. 27, 2015.
