Keith Urban’s New Album Will Be Nothing Like He’s Done Before

Recently Keith Urban has been filming "The Voice" in Australia but he's making it clear to the media that his new focus his a brand new album.  He's going in a totally different direction in making this new album and it will mean a totally different sound when it's released in 2013.He's chosen new producers, songwriters and is even recording in a new studio.  “I wanted to have everything around me be totally unfamiliar to me and I think it’s great in a sense that all sorts of stuff is coming out that I normally haven’t done before,” he says.

Sitting down with new songwriters is an exhilarating experience that Urban says has brought a whole new array of songs that never would have happened otherwise. Currently he has six or seven new songs ready to go and they have a hopeful undertone to them.

Although he's got a fan base that is ready for new music, Urban says he's taking his time with this album. He wants it to be right, new and different.  It will be released in 2013 but no date has been set.
