While Adele stole the headlines during and after the 2012 Grammy Awards, a number of country artists are also enjoying the afterglow. Albums from Lady Antebellum and the Civil Wars enjoyed impressive sales boosts following the red carpet event of the year. The groups respectively earned the Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance Grammys.

While Lady Antebellum sold more albums (37K) last week and topped the country sales charts, the Civil Wars showed the most growth. The duo sold over 36K thousand copies of ‘Barton Hallow’ — up 178 percent from the previous week. That growth is second only to Adele‘s ’21,’ which topped all of the charts.

Country music’s other big winner was Taylor Swift. Her ‘Speak Now’ album also enjoyed a nice percentage growth (78 percent according to HITS Daily Double), even if the figure (approximately 20K) wasn’t eye-popping. Jason Aldean‘s performance with Kelly Clarkson only provided a modest bump, up two percent to 27K copies sold.

Other country performers at the Grammy Awards were Blake Shelton, the Band Perry and Glen Campbell. Shelton’s sales were flat, while the Band Perry saw an 11 percent increase in sales of their self-titled album and Campbell watched his ‘Ghost on the Canvas’ project leap from 58 to 34 on the country sales charts (exact figures not available).
