The hit indie tactical game, Frozen Synapse, will be getting a console port for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. What strategy that does the company Double Eleven have for the game?

A press release went out today, giving a brief overview of some of the changes that will be made. For one, the game will be enhanced and given the name Frozen Synapse: Tactics. It will also receive a graphical overhaul and a change in the game's interactivity. Double Eleven, the folks who brought us LittleBigPlanet for the Vita, will be working with Mode 7 to bring the game to the PSN.

Double Eleven COO Mark South said, “We don’t want to give too much away yet, but I will say that Frozen Synapse: Tactics is not simply a transition of the original onto console; we will be giving it a complete Double Eleven makeover."

Just as the game showed players a new way to play strategy games, Double Eleven's looking to change how Frozen Synapse is played. They've been pretty lean on the details, but we figure they'll be more generous with info as the time draws closer to the release later this year.

If you'd like to see how the game is played, check out the trailer for the PC version below. Let us know if you'd be excited to play this on your PS3 or Vita!
