Faith Hill returned to the CMA Music Festival in Nashville for the first time in years in 2012, and brought new music with her. The country superstar revealed 'Illusion' -- the rumored title track to her long-awaited new album -- during the ABC-aired recap of the festival on Monday night (Sept. 17). Earlier in the show ,Hill confirmed that the album is done, but stopped short of saying it'd be available soon.

'Illusion' is a song that finds a scorned woman singing to her ex. "Every time you told me love me it was just an illusion, an illusion," Hill shouted during the chorus. "I thought we had it / Thought we were magic," she added. This new song will not be her new single. 'American Heart' is scheduled to impact radio in October.

The singer was backed by an enormous band as she performed in a very casual pair of blue jeans and a long-sleeved red top. She matched the mood of her audience, especially during a performance of 'Piece of My Heart,' the Janis Joplin song which closed her short TV set.

Hill's funky recreation of the classic song had the audience on their feet, begging for more as she signed off. It was starling to see Hill -- whose televised performances have been glamorous ballads in recent years -- on her knees crying out, "Have another little piece of my heart now baby!"
