In 2010 the organizers of the annual Ben Richey Boys Ranch Dove Hunt decided to change directions and go for a more predicable event. Some years the dove were good, in drought years the dove were scarce. When organizers convened in early 2010 they changed it to the Clay Break Classic, wherein clay targets are always in plentiful supply. The shoot is scheduled for May 3rd at Abilene Clay Sports. This Clay Break will utilize Lewis Class Scoring rules. Pick up registration forms at RAM Business Forms at 802 North 3rd or download from here. Course rules are as follow: Eye and ear protection required. Shot Shells no larger than 3 dram, 1 1/8 oz. of 7 ½ shot and no alcoholic beverages allowed on the course. Shooting times are not guaranteed, they are on a first come fist serve basis. There will be a minimum of six (6) shooters per group.
