Brett Eldredge sure knows how to celebrate! The singer congratulated himself on a second No. 1 hit with 'Beat of the Music' by going deep and swimming with sharks -- without a cage!

One year ago, when Eldredge was more of a country newcomer, he celebrated his No. 1 song 'Don't Ya' by skydiving. This year, he went even bigger.

"It's so hard to get to the top of the charts, you push yourself so much, it feels like you should push a little further to celebrate once you do," Eldredge tells People. "I like to push myself to live life to the fullest."

Eldredge took a trip with the non-profit group Rock the Ocean, as well as some of his buddies. Although he may enjoy an adrenaline rush now and then, there was one part of the adventure that scared even him.

"Getting past the fear of breathing underwater was the first step," the singer says. "But when you get to the bottom it's so peaceful and quiet. Our second dive was to this beautiful old shipwreck, and sharks were everywhere."

Eldredge brought something very special down with him -- his No. 1 plaques.

"I had this idea to get the No. 1 plaque and Gold single plaque and take them down with us," he dishes. "I swam over to the shipwreck with the plaques and the sharks, and we snapped some photos. It was such a surreal feeling. I am definitely hooked on sharks!"

Now that his next single 'Mean to Me' is out on country radio, Eldredge may have to eventually celebrate a third No. 1. Taste of Country's Billy Dukes had a few ideas for how the rising star could make this one the biggest celebration yet. Check out the video below.
