Best Places For A Kid’s Birthday Party In Abilene – Shay’s Top Five
I don’t have kids of my own but I have plenty of friends with small children. Sometimes they have birthday parties at their homes, however, when the kids get older they need something fun and with more room than they often have. Here are some places I found that are great for kid’s birthday parties here in Abilene.
the Gymnastics Sports Center
Parties at The Gymnastics Sports Center are an hour and a half and are supervised. The first hour are activities in the gym with coaches. The last half hour you have your refreshments and open presents.Prices are based on the number of children attending the party. Anywhere from 1-20 kids is $135 and you have 2 coaches; 21-30 kids is $155 and 3 coaches; 31-40 kids is $175 and 4 coaches. Each additional unscheduled child will be $4 extra. The center provides invitations, coaches refrigerator/freezer, tables and clean up. You provide the decor and refreshments.
They also do play days and parents night out. Anyone potty trained to age 12 is welcome. They have supervised tumbling floor, beams, trampolines, mini-tramps, bars and foam pits. Jack and Jean Smith are the owners/managers they opened the gym in 1986 and are dedicated to the youth in Abilene.
They stay pretty booked up so I advise calling (325-698-5142) a good couple of months in advance of your party date. The center is located at 1241 Ben Richey Drive. Of course, check out their website for more information.
PrimeTime Family Entertainment Center
PrimeTime isn’t just for kids either, the whole family will have fun here. However, the parties are for up to 10 guests (additional cost for extra guests) so the parents might want to sit this one out. Parties packages here include 2 large pizzas and unlimited soft drinks during party room time, $5 arcade game card for each child, $5 bonus arcade money for the birthday person, pin sipper and balloons, party goods, and your own host. There are 4 different packages from which to choose.Prices range from $129.99 – $299.99. Some packages include bowling or a major attraction.*
*When I say you get to choose a major attraction that means you get to choose from go-karts, laser tag, NASCAR simulators, bumper cars or the XD theater.
PUTT-PUTT GOLF & GAMES
Putt-putt golf has always been a fun birthday party. I remember my brother and I both having parties at putt-putt when we were younger. The parties consist of 2 hours of fun and use of the party area. A minimum of 6 people are required and each kid gets 15 tokens for the game room, 1 batting token, 2 hours of unlimited putt-putt, soft drink or bottled water for each kid. Cost for the minimum 6 people is $8.00 per person. You can add on more fun for a little extra. So if you are on a budget and your birthday party is during a milder part of the year weather wise, then this is a great option.
